Privacy and cookies
This page explains which data we process when you use this test platform, why, for how long, and what you can do if you do not want that. The controller is Reshift Digital B.V., Nijverheidsweg 18, 2031 CP Haarlem, the Netherlands. For general matters about Reshift, the Reshift privacy statement also applies.
1. Your account and your participation
To take part, we process your name, e-mail address, address, phone number and the details about your household and situation that you fill in on your profile. We use the latter to decide whether you fit a test panel. We need your address and phone number to deliver a product.
When you take part in a test panel, we keep what belongs to it: your application and answers, the status of your participation, your reviews, the photos and videos you upload, your messages and, where needed, your bank account number, deposit or purchase payments and a signed loan agreement.
We do this to provide the service you use.
2. What we measure when you are logged in
When you are logged in, we record on your account what you do on the platform: which test panels and pages you view, what you search for, which links to web shops you click, what you sign up for and what you save or send. We never keep the content of what you type, only that you did something and when.
When you click through to a store for cashback, we also keep with that click what our check in your browser saw: whether cookies worked, whether an ad blocker seemed active, and whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer. That lets us judge a purchase that did not come through fairly.
We do this to show and send you test panels that suit you, and to improve the platform. That is our legitimate interest. We place nothing extra in your browser for this: it works through your login, also if you do not consent to statistics in the cookie banner.
Do you not want this? E-mail us at info@opinigo.com and we will stop recording what you view, search and click. What is needed to run your participation (your application, selection, reviews) we do keep.
3. Cookies
Every visitor gets their own visitor ID from us in a cookie. We use it to count how the site is used.
If you consent to statistics in the cookie banner, we also do the following. We link your visit to your account when you log in. Google Analytics receives a random code instead of your name or e-mail address, so it can combine your visits on different devices. We remember for 30 days which advertisement or link brought you in. And we look at which test panels you view, also when you are not logged in.
Other parties, such as advertising networks, only place cookies if you consent to that in the cookie banner. You can always change your choice through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
4. Where you come from
If you sign up through an advertisement or a link, we keep the campaign details of that link with your application (such as utm codes and the click ID of Meta or Google), the first page of your visit and the site you came from. That tells us which campaigns bring in new testers. We do not keep full web addresses.
5. E-mail and newsletter
We always send you messages about your participation, because they are part of the service. You only receive our newsletter and messages about new test panels if you signed up for them. You can unsubscribe with one click at the bottom of every e-mail. We keep track of which messages we send you, whether they arrive, whether you open them and which links in them you click. Whether you open an e-mail we see from a small invisible image in it. If you do not want that, let us know (see ‘Your rights’) and we stop measuring it.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only as far as needed, with parties that process it on our behalf: the account system you log in with, our e-mail service, Google Analytics (only the random code, with your consent), the payment service for deposits and purchases, the service for signing loan agreements, an AI service that helps us answer messages and read invoices, and the shipping partners that deliver or collect a product. We do not sell your data.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your account and your participations for as long as your account exists. What we measure about your use of the platform we keep for at most 24 months. If you delete your account, we delete that data too. Only the proof that you gave or withdrew consent we keep, without your name.
8. Your rights
You can ask us which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to what we measure, or receive it in a usable file. You can delete your account yourself on your profile. For everything else, e-mail us at info@opinigo.com. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country (in the United Kingdom the Information Commissioner’s Office).
9. Changes
We update this text when we start doing something different with your data. The date below shows when that last happened.
